Dr Hussain Shakir

Dr. Hussain Shakir is a seasoned General Practitioner with over two decades of clinical experience. He began his medical journey in 1995 in Sri Lanka, shortly after completing his medical degree in Russia—a background that allows him the unique pleasure of practising Russian with patients from the region. Since relocating to the UK in 2000, Dr. Shakir has further enriched his expertise by completing his postgraduate training in Oxford.

In the clinical setting, Dr. Shakir holds particular interests in the management of chronic diseases, focusing specifically on diabetes mellitus, elderly care, and acute day to day as well as complex medical cases. In addition, he is proficient in minor surgical procedures. His approach to patient care prioritizes comprehensive treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient.

Outside the professional sphere, Dr. Shakir harbours a variety of interests. Traveling stands out as a major passion, allowing him to broaden his horizons and bring a more holistic view to his practice. A keen photographer as well, Dr. Shakir enjoys capturing the beauty and intricacies of the world through his lens.
